Hospice Care Center RN's and LPN's - All Shifts
We are currently recruiting RN's and LPN's for all shifts. The successful candidates will have:
-
Current Washington RN/LPN license and CPR certification.

Minimum of two years experience within the last five years in an acute or sub-acute setting with a minimum of one year in the following areas: oncology, medical/surgical, gerontology, home health, or hospice.
-
Experience interacting with an interdisciplinary clinical team and physicians.
Full Time Medical Social Worker
Currently, we are seeking a Full Time Medical Social Worker to join our team. Medical Social Worker duties include:
-
psycho-social assessment
-
end of life counseling for patients and families
-
patient advocacy
-
referral for community resources
-
bereavement support
-
other duties of similar scope and complexity.
This position works under limited supervision. Work situations are varied, non-routine, typically high stress, and involve complex issues.
Medical Social Worker Requirements:
-
Bachelor's degree in social services with 5 years experience in a health care setting, with home care, hospice or palliative care, or Master's degree from an accredited school of social work with 1 year experience in health care setting

Washington state license required
-
CPR certification
-
Valid WA State Drivers License
-

Julie K. Cicero, M.S.W., Hospice of Kitsap County grief counselor, has written a book entitled: Waking Up Alone: Grief & Healing.
Following the death of her husband, Julie obtained a Master's in Social Work and began her career as a hospice grief counselor. Her work includes daily interaction with
people who are in the process of losing their loved ones and with those who are surviving the death of a loved one, through grief education and support groups.
